I hold a MSc in Statistics & Data Science, with 8 years of experience across business consulting, data science and analytics, grant writing and data infrastructure for small businesses.

How engagements are priced - exact rates are set in the proposal once scope is clear:

  • Hourly: best for short, well-defined tasks such as a code review, data audit, or unblocking a specific pipeline or model issue.
  • Project-based: a fixed price for a defined deliverable, such as a business strategy document, feasibility study, business plan, financial model, credit-scoring model, dashboard build, or grant application.
  • Retainer: a recurring monthly arrangement for ongoing support, such as reporting cycles, dashboard maintenance, or continued modeling work, project support work and operational reporting.

  • Business plans & financial models: full business plans backed by working financial models: unit economics, revenue and cost build-ups, cash-flow projections and multi-year forecasts.
  • Viability & investment readiness: assessing whether a business model holds up, where the margins actually sit, and what an investor or lender would need to see before committing.
  • Scenario modeling & feasibility studies: testing a plan against its assumptions, running best/base/worst cases, and sizing the downside before money is spent.

  • Clean-energy microfinance lender, Uganda · 2018–present: Built the production data platform (CRM → Supabase/PostgreSQL → dbt → Looker Studio) now used daily by credit, operations and finance teams; developed the credit-scoring models underpinning a 4,000+ customer lending portfolio.
  • International development-finance funder programme, energy access · 2022–2023: Led research and data collection for an on-/off-grid energy access programs; managed underwriting, loan collections and credit scoring. Programme received a 2023 international sector award.
  • Bilateral development agency, clean cooking sector · 2023–2024: Authored the grant applications and served as data lead across two phases of a national clean cooking supply-chain activation plan, securing $377k combined and designing the accompanying carbon/MRV framework.
  • Impact investor, women-owned MSME financing · 2021–2022: Set up a new branch operation from scratch, team, data systems and reporting for a $260k productive-use asset financing pilot targeting women-owned businesses.
  • Private foundations, core institutional funding · 2021–2025: Data scientist and reporting lead across four multi-year core-funding grants totaling over $780k, supporting fundraising strategy and organisational reporting.
